Critter without Litters

Critters without Litters is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides high-volume, high-quality, spay/neuter services. We seek to end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets in Kern County through strong alliances with the community, local business and nonprofit organizations to increase the number of cats and dogs that are spayed or neutered, while promoting animal health and safety within our community.

Kern County Cancer Foundation

The Kern County Cancer Foundation was established to assist local patients with significant expenses related to cancer care.

Before the establishment of the KCCF cancer patients had to choose between paying for their mortgage or paying for treatment. Local oncologists and community members rallied together to start KCCF in 2012 to eliminate the financial burden brought on by a cancer diagnosis.

Kern County is challenged with a lack of treatment facilities for children diagnosed with cancer. Recognizing the need, KCCF began transporting children to and from treatment facilities in 2020 and providing financial assistance to qualified families.

Who will be the next Charity APW is supporting this year 2022/2023?
