Our Charity

charities

The Association of Petroleum Women pride our-self in our community contribution and charity work resulting in more than $281,500 in donations over the past 14 years!!!!

Last year with Covid-19 we were unable to contribute as we would have wanted – but we are ready to get back to supporting our community again

As our new year begins, it is time to start thinking about our Charity nominations.  I know that we all have a charity that is dear to us as well as many new ones in Kern County.  There are over 300 non-profits in Bakersfield!!! Many are trying to recover from the effects that Covid had on their organization.  Let’s nominate some local charities that really need our help.

If you are a paid member of APW, you are eligible to nominate a local charity, preferably one that does not receive Federal or State aid.

You may submit your nominations via email: stanabright@hotmail.com

Please include some information about the charity with your nomination.  Nominations will be accepted before October 15th (as stated in Articles of Association, Article IX; page 7) when the Executive Committee will narrow the group to the top five choices.  They will then be listed in the newsletter and voted on by the membership at November meeting.
